Some of my artwork using the Lake Effect applet (seen all over the web)

Kancamagus Highway Unlike the other offerings on this page, this is made from an actual photograph.  While on a trip to Plymouth, Mass in the mid-90's, my friend and I took "a drive".  Our drive took us to a typical New England restaurant beside the Nubble Lighthouse in York Beach, Maine.  Then we spent several hours wroking our way up a scenic mountain road that kept crossing back and forth between Maine and New Hampshire.  At long last, we found what we were looking for ... The Kancamagus Highway.

This magnificent 28-mile stretch of Highway 112 that sits cozily between Lincoln and Conway, New Hampshire.  We got there at the very peak of autumn.  Yeah, we were just another couple of "Leafer Peepers" slowly driving along the highway.

There are several places there to stop your car and park.  At the different stops, you can absorb different views of this magnificent autumn paradise.  The picture used for this particular photo was, of all the stops, my favorite.  I couldn't tell you which "rest area" it was from.  It just looked good so we pulled over and walked to the river.  There were sufficient jumbo granite boulders to "hop" from one to the other, as I did in order to snap this smaller photo.  When I find the rest of the pictures I took here, I'll post more here.  Until then, enjoy this smaller one, shown here using the infamous "lake effect" applet seen all over the web.
